Practice Experience
Ms. Diaz has an extensive background on the energy sector, the operation of the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market and relevant government procurement laws.
She works under the close guidance of the Partners and is immersed in both litigation and corporate practice. As a litigation lawyer, she prepares judicial affidavits, interviews witnesses and pleadings to be filed before courts and various administrative bodies. She represents clients in civil, criminal and administrative cases before these tribunals and handles land registration cases as well.
Beyond litigation, Ms. Diaz reviews contracts and, together with the other lawyers, performs due diligence and prepares and reviews permits and legal memoranda needed by clients for their business ventures.
As part of her work, Ms. Diaz deals with the Energy Regulatory Commission, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Department of Energy, and the Land Registration Authority.
